Introduction

Welcome to CW Design PLLC. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services and our commitment to your privacy. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety.

CW Design PLLC is a certified interior design firm founded by Catherine Deutschlander, based in Maple Grove, Minnesota. We provide full-service interior design, kitchen and bath design, accessibility and aging-in-place design, and e-décor services for residential clients across the country.

Age Restriction

Our services are intended solely for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using our services or providing your personal information to us, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use our services, submit any personal information, or opt in to our SMS messaging program. CW Design PLLC reserves the right to terminate any service agreement upon discovering that a client is under the age of 18.

Services Offered

CW Design PLLC provides the following interior design services, subject to availability and project scope:

• Full Service Interior Design — End-to-end design for one or more rooms, including planning, selections, contractor coordination, and complete project delivery.
• Kitchen & Bath Design — Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) services focused on creating functional, accessible, and beautiful kitchen and bathroom spaces.
• Accessibility & Aging-in-Place Design — Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and Accessibility Specialist services helping families design homes that support long-term safety, independence, and livability.
• E-Décor — Online interior decorating packages offering professional designer direction for clients who prefer to manage and implement projects themselves.

All services are delivered using a co-design approach in which CW Design collaborates with clients to make informed design decisions tailored to their lifestyle, needs, and budget. Specific service terms, deliverables, timelines, and payment schedules are outlined in the individual service agreements provided at project commencement.

Payment Terms

Payment schedules vary by project type and are defined in your individual service agreement. Standard payment structures include:

• Standard Projects: 60% due at project commencement, 30% due at the drawings and selections meeting, and 10% due at project wrap-up.
• Longer Projects: 70% due at project commencement, 20% due at the drawings and selections meeting, and 10% due at project wrap-up.
• E-Décor Packages: Payment in full at time of purchase, as outlined in the selected package.

All payments are non-refundable once a project phase has commenced unless otherwise agreed in writing. CW Design PLLC reserves the right to pause work on any project where payment is outstanding.

Contractor Coordination

CW Design PLLC works collaboratively with local and national general contractors, builders, and vendors on behalf of clients. While we facilitate coordination and provide design direction, CW Design PLLC is not responsible for the quality, timeline, licensing, or workmanship of any third-party contractor or vendor engaged as part of a project. Clients are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence when selecting and contracting with builders, remodelers, and suppliers.

Privacy & Protection of Personal Information

Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information from you in various ways, including when you submit a contact or consultation request form, schedule a complimentary call, engage our services, or communicate with us directly. Information collected may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and details about your design project and home.

Use of Personal Information

The personal information we collect is used for the following purposes:

• To schedule and deliver interior design consultations and project services.
• To communicate with you regarding your project, selections, and design decisions.
• To send SMS/text messages as described in our SMS Program section above (with your consent).
• To send newsletters, design inspiration, and service updates in accordance with your preferences.
• To coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed to deliver your project.
• To maintain records necessary for our business operations.

Non-Disclosure of Personal Information

CW Design PLLC guarantees that your personal information will never be sold, traded, or rented to any third parties. The information you provide is solely for the use of CW Design PLLC and its related business activities.

Intellectual Property

All design concepts, drawings, plans, mood boards, and other creative deliverables produced by CW Design PLLC remain the intellectual property of CW Design PLLC until payment has been received in full. Upon full payment, the client receives a license to use the deliverables for their personal project. Design work may not be reproduced, resold, or repurposed without prior written consent from CW Design PLLC.

Information Security

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to, or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data. Our security practices include internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing, as well as measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

Consent

By using our services and/or opting in to our SMS messaging program, you expressly consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in these terms and conditions. SMS consent and phone numbers are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Limitation of Liability

CW Design PLLC provides design services in good faith and to the best of its professional ability. However, design outcomes are subject to factors outside our control, including contractor execution, product availability, and client-directed changes. CW Design PLLC is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from contractor workmanship, product lead times, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Final results may vary from design renderings depending on construction and installation variables.

Changes to These Terms

CW Design PLLC reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. We will communicate any changes by posting the updated terms on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
