Hire a Certified Interior Designer to ease your stress... Make 2023 the Best Year by Starting your Home Remodel

I currently returned from Design and Construction Week 2023 which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.  “More than 200,000 house and design professionals from across the globe” came together for 5 different shows; NKBA – Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), NAHB – International Builders’ Show (IBS), The National Hardware Show, The International Surfaces Event and the Las Vegas Winter Market.  These trade shows did a fabulous job collaborating for if you purchase a ticket from KBIS you were able to attend the rest of them.  My focus was on KBIS & IBS.

At these events I am looking for the “Unicorn” or unique feature & the trends for 2023.  The trends will be displayed in more than one booth, and you would see them throughout the show.  Let’s get started….

The Unicorn or unique feature

  1. Using different artistic items for your everyday application - rock sinks

2. Statement piece or “Wow” factor for your house - 23 foot door

3. Small sinks/vanities - projects trying to fit a powder bathroom on the main floor. This small sink/vanity might be your lifesaver.

4. Acoustical panels for your home. This company can etch anything into them with their CNC machine. Imagine a beautiful art piece that lowers or prevents the echo in your room. It’s not just stunning but also functional.

6. Possibilities are endless for this gas cooktop from Pitt

7. The experience of going to a restaurant in your backyard with social grilling, water fountains, and fire elements specifically made for residential.

The Kitchen & Bath Trends for 2023

1. Secretive items - hiding the items you don’t want anyone to see; appliances, dishes, wine cellar….

2. Mint green everywhere

3. Sinks are the workhorse of the kitchen so therefore having the accessories become part of the sink vs on the countertop. Your sink will be longer so match sure your sink base accommodates it.

4. Manufacturers are providing aesthetically pleasing balance bars (grab bars), shower seats… They are keeping the designer and client in mind.

5. Cooktop’s are becoming long and lean

6. Spa main bathrooms (owner’s suite)

7. Electronic fireplaces that are works of art… They are not trying to copy “fire” look, but instead enhancing it by having the flames dance around stones, jewels, and wood. No venting is required. Just plug in and have the magic begun.

8. Using applications in unique ways. The island front and sides are Cambria with a unique 3d application.

I hope the ideas above start sparking your desire to remodel your dwelling place.  Let’s start promoting creativity and well-being for your home, so family and friends feel welcomed.  Start dreaming about the spaces/rooms you are going to start transforming.
